Empowering Students, Emploring the Enhanced K-10 Curriculum

Faculty Assembly

To recalibrate the teaching skills and delivery of instruction among the faculty members, Global Reciprocal Colleges conducted a general faculty conference on January 13, 2024, at 8 o’clock in the morning in the GRC Faculty Room.

It was highlighted by a talk about “AI in Education: Ensuring Ethical Pedagogy and Responsible Learning Environment,” graced by one of the competent master teachers in the Division of Caloocan, Mr. Mark Arvin M. Celeste, wherein all faculty members were enlightened as to how AI can be utilized in the teaching profession as well as how it can make projects, lesson plans, and instructional materials easy to produce. Hence, it also needs verification and validation, for it has limitations with its accuracy and content.

After the comprehensive and insightful discussion on artificial intelligence, it was followed by the registrar’s orientation, human resources, and the presentation of action research per college, respectively.

Matatag Curriculum

The GRC College of Education has committed its thrust to ensuring that the curricula prescribed to students are up-to-date and relevant to the needs of the present time. Thus, the college aligns its curricula with what future teachers will be facing after their pre-service experiences.

To enlighten the faculty on the present curriculum called “MATATAG Curriculum,” Dr. Danilo Duyan, the MAPEH Supervisor in the Division of Caloocan and a professor in GRC, gave a talk on the overview of the DepEd MATATAG Curriculum and its features. He discussed comprehensively the meaning of MATATAG, including the subjects to be offered starting next Academic Year (2024-2025).

Finally, the discussion went on smoothly, with some questions raised, clarified, and answered. Also, the faculty had a breakaway session per department for the planning of revisiting the curriculum for the next academic year.
