GRC Sportsfest 2024

The Global Reciprocal Colleges (GRC) hosted its much-awaited Sports Festival from April 24–26, 2024, where students from various colleges within the organization demonstrated their athletic abilities and spirit of competition. The event, which took place across different venues, witnessed an impressive display of skill and camaraderie among participants.

Divided into two main categories, indoor and outdoor sports, the festival offered a diverse range of activities for students to engage in. The indoor sports competitions were hosted at the CCF Gracepark, GRC Building in Caloocan City, while the outdoor events took place at the Leland Drive Covered Court in Quezon City.

Representatives from the College of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Education, Accountancy, and Computer Studies eagerly participated in the various sports, adding to the excitement and energy of the festival.

In the realm of indoor sports, competitors battled it out in intense matches of intellect and agility. Sean Mykel Sarabia emerged victorious in the Scrabble competition, showcasing not only his mastery of words but also his strategic prowess. Meanwhile, JR Casipe Gequillo claimed the title of Chess Champion, displaying exceptional foresight and tactical acumen on the board. Joseph Ballesteros demonstrated unparalleled skill in Table Tennis, clinching the Men’s Singles title with finesse and precision.

Moving outdoors, the courts came alive with the electrifying energy of volleyball and basketball matches. In the Women’s Volleyball category, the College of Education team exhibited remarkable teamwork and coordination, securing their place as champions. On the men’s side, the College of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship dominated the volleyball court, emerging as the champions in a fiercely contested battle. Similarly, the College of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship showcased their basketball prowess, clinching the Men’s Basketball championship with a stellar performance.

In a special exhibition match, the GRC Employees faced off against the GRC Faculty in a basketball showdown. Despite a valiant effort from the GRC Employees, it was the GRC Faculty who emerged victorious, showcasing their skills and teamwork on the court.

Amidst the heated competition, one college stood out as the embodiment of excellence across all sports. The College of Education emerged as the Overall Champion, a testament to their dedication, talent, and sportsmanship throughout the festival.

The Global Reciprocal Colleges Sports Festival 2024 not only provided a platform for students to showcase their athletic abilities but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among participants. As the event concluded, participants and spectators alike departed with cherished memories and a renewed sense of pride in their respective colleges.
